This special collection—remastered and overseen by hip-hop and house DJ/re-edit maestro Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez—is as definitive as it gets. As of 1983, one of the last prominent examples of studio-band hip-hop before 808s and, eventually, samplers took precedence.
