From their eponymousdebut long-player of 1978, through Candy-O (1979), Panorama (1980), ShakeIt Up (1981) and Heartbeat City (1984) to DoorTo Door (1987), this set brings together records that have accumulatedsales of more than 23 million copies in the United States alone. Each album ispeppered with hits, including The Cars’ debut single Just What I Need whichmade the US top 40, Let’s Go, Shake It Up, Magic, Drive and YouMight Think (which, incidentally, won MTV’s first-ever Video Of TheYear award in 1984).
