BEATLES. AND THE ROLLING STONES. Together yet apart. A Side has 7 Beatles songs. B Side has 6 Stones songs. All are BBC tracks from 1963, except 4 Beatles songs on A Side are live versions from the 1964 Hollywood Bowl concert. All 7 had not been released on Capitol yet so these were known to be bootleg songs in 1973. But further study shows JOKER is a legitimate Italian label, issuing mostly discount albums. How they dealt with EMI lawyers is uncertain. Probably like VeeJay, Hit-and-Run style!! The B side are all early BBC (BEEB) tracks. The Vinyl is EX. Virtually unplayed!! Two superstar groups on one album! Kinda unique!! Eventually it was determined the songs were mostly tracks from the BBC studios and played on BBC Radio (The BEEB) on radio shows in 1963 before they became stars in America. There are two versions of this album cover out there (see last photo), but vinyl and labels look the same. AND THIS COVER LOOKS MUCH COOLER. Please NOTE, I added the source info to the A Side listings on the back of cover to remind me where the songs originated. It’s a thin cardboard sleeve, typical of many foreign records of the 70s. Labels are EX, no writing. 13 tracks that show a hidden bit of the Beatles and Stones “At the Rarest” time in their history. See labels. Not sure what else that phrase refers to!! Eventually the Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl and Live at the BBC/Beeb double LP sets covered this material quite well. They recorded 88 total tracks from Spring ‘62 to Spring ‘65 for the BBC Radio shows. All are available somewhere nowadays! If you’ve never heard of these songs today, welcome to the world I knew when. You too can become a Believer. The entire Beatles BBC 88 is a goldmine worth digging! And since some were recorded up to 16 times the total number of Beatles songs available from BBC tapes is over 200!! Almost as many tracks as they recorded for EMI!!Condition is Goldmine EX, vinyl and labels and sleeve. No issues, except my hand written additions!! Be aware but not offended. I saw about 4 others of this album currently on EBAY. Typically, These were recorded in one take, no dubs, in BBC Studios, then played on radio a week or so later, recorded on tape by faithful fans and saved for posterity. Welcome to an incredible piece of history! The vinyl is virtually unplayed. See images, actual sale item. Seller is 50+ year collector and keeper of all things Beatles related. Shipped with USPS Media Mail and Global Shipping Program. All purchases ship for $5 total, so browse for others!! Best. Beatle Lew.
