NIGHT OWLS is a group and production team featuring members of Los Angeles groups THE LIONS and THE AGGROLITES. This core features Blake Colie on drum kit, Dave Wilder on bass, Roger Rivas on piano & organ and Dan Ubick on guitars & percussion.
Strait from The Lion’s Den, is a special limited edition 45 that continues what NIGHT OWLS do best, brining their classic Soul Jamaican twist to some familiar (or not) classics we’ve all grown to love. “This Christmas” is their take on the Donny Hathaway classic and whom better to fill Donny’s shoes than one of todays leading soul singers, Durand Jones.
A perfect jam to have on deck during the holiday season. Side B features an instrumental version where the funky and grooving organ stylings of Roger Rivas keep the tune alive to be played on the dance floor year round. Sure to sell out, this 45 is not one to sleep on!
