Original and Near New 1979 Vinyl LP (Rounder 0092)
The Tony Rice Unit - Manzanita
The Vinyl is excellent (see photos) with no scratches. The Jacket is near mint in original shrink wrap with only slight ring wear. Includes the original paper sleeve with no tears or splits.
I first learned of Tony Rice in the late 70's when I was heavily immersed in the acoustic music scene and learning to play Violin and Mandolin listening to artists like David Grisman, Vassar Clements, Tim O'Brien, Sam Bush and of course the late, great Tony Rice.
I purchased this album new in 1980 from Rocky Mountain Records and Tapes in Boulder, Colorado.
It was played only 1 or 2 times right after purchase, as I recorded all of my LPs to cassette tape on a Sansui SC-3110 cassette deck, and after that would listen to all my taped music either on that deck, or more likely, in the car!
Cassettes were always easier and more convenient for me for my daily listening.
My LPs were always stored inside a climate controlled environment.
In the last year, I have decided to retire and downsize, and have been digitizing my LPs for future use.
This LP has been recently cleaned with an original Discwasher and played one more time on my 1979 Technics SL-D2 turntable to check condition and record it for digital storage.
Tony left us a treasure of amazing music and this is a "must have" album for the Tony Rice fan who will really appreciate owning it through the years.
