Remastered on 200 gram vinyl, in a hardback gatefold cover, additional plain white sleeve, obi strip and info sheet (both in Japanese language). 

In an article by Gene Lees in the monthly magazine, Jazz, there is an imitation that Coltrane's playing may have "undergone another spurt of rapid evolution" as a result of this relatively brief association with Ellington. It is more than possible, for Duke's catalytic influence is unique in jazz. The one certainty is that there is warm, exciting music here that will pleasantly surprise Coltrane and Ellington fans both. Recorded September 28, 1962.
