Record Grading
We carefully hand-clean all records (except sealed copies, which we assume are already clean), using RCA D4+ record cleaner solution, so that your record has a longer life. We also include a new, clear plastic protective sleeve for all 7" book and record sets.
We make every effort to grade our records conservatively, and to list any flaws we find. We use the Goldmine Grading Scale, primarily in regard to the vinyl itself.  Extra flaws (i.e. writing on the label) will be noted in the listing description. Sleeves and books are graded separately from the record.
We do not play-test our records; they are all graded visually to avoid adding wear to the items.
Sealed records and cassettes arrive here sealed; we assume that they are factory-sealed, mint condition. We do not open sealed items, and we do not seal open items.
When we determine the value of an item, several factors are included: condition, availability (whether or not the item is scarce, or rare in its condition), and how much it cost us to obtain the item. Multiple copies of the same title may be available for various prices, depending on these factors.
