PINK FLOYD - "ANIMALS" - VINYL LP ALBUM

EMI HARVEST - SHVL 815 - 1977 - UK 1ST PRESS A-2U/B-2U

Original 1st UK issue of this classic rock album with earliest matrix A-2U/B-2U and pressed on heavy vinyl. This is a contract pressing made at Orlake rather than EMI, so has the rarer deep-groove labels with a textured surface in the centre. The initial pressing from EMI has smooth labels.

Comes with 1st issue gatefold sleeve with a wide spine and no barcode, and the original 1st issue inner sleeve with opening notch & rounded corners.

CONDITION (vinyl/cover)

VG (used not abused copy with light surface marks from sleeve removal and no serious scratches; it plays very well throughout with just some minor crackle in some of the quieter passages that does not spoil the music; the labels are clean and bright and have no writing or stickers)

/ VG (the gatefold sleeve is in very good solid & stiff condition with bright, uncreased surfaces and no major defects - there's just some light storage wear with a bit of surface scuffing around the edges; the spine is fully readable and the edges have minor wear only)

Inner sleeve grades VG and is in nice bright condition with no significant creasing and just a 4" split in the middle of one side.
