This is a brand new reissue of the Vinyl record Yes We Can which showcases Lee Dorseys maturity, ably demonstrating his strong singing abilities. Many critics have said it is his best overall album and one of the greatest soul albums of the '70s.
This album showcases the most sophisticated funk and soul of its time as offered by The Meters. With a great variety of styles, sounds, and moods, it features some of Allen Toussaint's strongest writing. Several of the cuts were covered by major artists; the title track, by the Pointer Sisters, Robert Palmer with Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley and Ringo Starr cut Occapella.
