We recently sold out of our 2nd lot of "Bulk Classical Albums" with nothing but perfect feedback . . . we're now in excess of 500 quality classical albums (and counting) sold and delivered to satisfied eBay customers over the past 6 months.

Luckily we unearthed more boxes of classical vinyl this weekend.  In this latest load, we are finding many quality VG classical albums, so we've decided to expand our listings to include a VG graded listing in addition to our normal NM- and VG+ graded offerings.

Instant classical vinyl collection!

In this listing, you will receive TEN (10) randomly selected classical albums for a flat $24.99 which includes shipping. The albums in this group are largely ex-university library holdings.

Vinyl condition will range from VG to NM-

Outer Sleeve (cover) condition will range from VG- to NM- .... with the vast majority falling towards the lower end of that spectrum (VG- / VG).

The general album / cover combinations you can expect in this listing are :

ALBUM : VG+ / or NM-            ----             COVER: VG-

ALBUM : VG                             ----            COVER: VG- / VG+ or NM-

What won't you receive?  You won't receive mint albums in mint covers, you won't receive VG+ albums in VG+ covers . . . but you also won't receive beater albums in beater covers.

Basically, this listing is for our VG or better vinyl in our VG- covers.

What is a VG or better album?  Well, in simplest terms, a VG record is one that plays well, delivers a "very good" listening experience, but ultimately an imperfect one.  You'll hear some background noise on a VG album, may hear it over the softer passages even, but in general the background noise won't be enough to overwhelm (or even significantly detract from) the music.  With VG+, you'll hear even less, and with NM- you'll hear practically none other during than the silent moments between movements.

What is a VG- cover? A VG- cover can have multiple issues, but for purposes of THIS listing, it means commonly found library markings, the occasional minor seam split, some minor fading of graphics, and the occasional minor crease or corner ding.

If you're new to classical, or just starting out your classical library, this is a great way to go.  You'll get a spread of composers, conductors, and performers on albums that deliver a pleasing listen.  If you're a well-developed or even blossoming classical enthusiast, then the falloff from VG+ / NM- to VG might be distracting.

The albums in this listing are largely ex-university library holdings. Most covers will have a catalog number taped to them and/or a pocket for a "checkout card" affixed. These may or may not be removable.

These covers may also show signs of handling, shelving, corner bumps, minor seam splitting, etc. These covers are generally not in the "eye candy" category.  But again they are not beater albums from the Goodwill bins either. They've generally been well cared for even if they do show their past life as (Chico State) library copies.

And the price is right!

Composers in this large group of albums include Beethoven, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Liszt, Vivaldi, Strauss, Ravel, Schubert, Dvorak, Mendelssohn, Haydn . . . and more.  Conductors include Karajan, Bernstein, Beecham, Ormandy, Davis, Solti, Haitink, Giulini . . . and more.  Labels include Deutsche Grammophon, RCA, CBS, Philips, Victor, Vox, London, Angel, Seraphim, Nonesuch, Columbia, Archiv Produktion (DGG) . . . and more.  We literally have thousands of classical albums we need to move.

These are all quality albums, good to great pressings, from across the major record labels.

In sum: All albums will be in at least VG condition.  All covers will be in at least VG- condition as well, with some grading higher . . . these are not "beater" albums.  Many will play at the NM- or VG+ level for the majority of the album, with occasional VG sections. You will hear the occasional pop or scratch on these records, the occasional noisy passage, but all will provide a pleasant listening experience. Covers will show sign of prior handling and shelving, will normally not be be "pretty" looking, and display evidence of their university library heritage.

Shipping:

FREE.  All albums are shipped in a proper LP mailer.  Records are removed from their sleeves to prevent sleeve damage in transit.  Media Mail is used unless other arrangements are made.  Sorry, no international shipping until things settle down post-pandemic.  We've had way too many shipping delay and mandatory refunds. Just the way it is right now.

GRADING:

We use Goldmine Standards when grading our records.  All grading unless otherwise noted is visual.
