Led Zeppelin - Led Zep III (1970 Plum Atlantic) Vinyl UK.
Release: (to the best of my knowledge)
This disc has first pressing matrix numbers but is pressed on the second generation Red/Maroon label design with 2401-002 at 2 O'clock.
The credit at the bottom of the label states 'Produced by Jimmy Page' in bold, centred underneath is "Warner Bros. Music".
Fully-laminated gatefold sleeve with working wheel, printed and made in England by E. J. Day, retaining Executive Producer: Peter Grant (which is removed from the labels on this pressing).
Do what thou wilt 2401002 A-5
So mote it be 2401002 B7? or May be 5
Condition
Cover = working wheel, solid readable spine, creasing on rear, inside gatefold a little grubby
Inner sleeve - very discoloured (original?- not sure)
Labels = VG+, one has sticker removal mark; very faint
Vinyl = lots of age related marks/light scratches , none look too deep - quite a pronounced one over side 2 trk 1…
side 1 = nothing hugely affects play which is a great sound;, some light crackle and odd pop , mainly between tracks...
side 2 = start is v crackly due to the scratch - , a few pops too...then gets better as track gets louder...the rest of S2 is good, just some crackle here and there- no jumps/skips anywhere, overall G+ sound…
PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THIS LP IS AN AGED, USED ITEM, AND WILL NOT LOOK OR PLAY PERFECTLY.
I always try to give a fair overview of condition and a selection of photos, which give an indication of what you are buying/bidding on.
I always play test and give a fair appraisal of how the LP sounds on my system; this is always a subjective thing, and so may vary on others - If there are any flaws or jumps detected I will mention this and it will be reflected in the price/starting bid; NB: sometimes items may need further cleaning etc.
Postage is, UK, 2nd class signed for and international sales are through eBay's GSP (global shipping program)
My gradings are through the Goldmine standard, and as accurate as I can make them (although please bear in mind it is still subjective and mistakes can occur ) :)
Thanks for your interest...
