This is part of a big auction of 45's from several independent 1950's LA-area labels that I'm running this week. I apologize if you were looking for the Rockabilly auction. Release: John Lee Hooker - New Boogie Chillen' / I Tried

Format: 45 rpm 7" single

Year: 1952

Notes: Early single by one of the preeminent blues performers of the 20th century. A-side is probably his first really iconic track. It's a simple vocal and guitar, but there's a magic to it that is just awesome.  Tough to find original pressing on 7".

Vinyl Condition: VG, Chillen side vinyl is in great shape with no noticeable scratches or scuffs, almost no wear at all. Tried has a row of hazing that DNAP. Both sides play very well with almost no background noise at all. There is one noticeable pop about 2/3 of the way through Tried. Labels are very nice with original gloss and no writing/tears, just the tiniest bit of ring scuffing and some wrinkling on one side.  See pics, but this is a really nice copy overall. If it wasn't for the noticeable pop, I'd call this one a VG+.

Sleeve: VG, pretty nice. Has some minor wrinkling and a small pencil number, but no tears or splits.
