Title: Judy Garland Souvenir Album

Artist(s): Judy Garland

One Twelve Inch 78 RPM Record & Two Ten Inch Records

Visual Grading of Records: Very Good to Excellent

Audio Grading: Very Good to Excellent. “Dear Mr. Gable” has a chip on the beginning of the record before the song begins. It does not affect playing which is excellent on both sides.

The “Figaro” record has more surface noise warranting a grading of “very good” while the twelve inch record of “Sweet Sixteen” sounds excellent too.

Condition of Sleeve: Very Good. The binding is loose and unraveled. (Please see scans)

This record set includes the rare insert which is in great shape with the second page taped with transparent tape. It was the first album featuring only songs recorded by Judy Garland.

Thank you for looking at my records. I listen to every record I sell unless it is mint and/or sealed.

If you enjoy reading about musicals, please check out my book, For the Record: Confessions of a Vinyl-Soundtrack Junkie, which has received excellent editorial reviews as well as wonderful critiques from readers on Amazon.com:

“Hanson describes a fascination with musicals and their recorded soundtracks in this charming and informative story of his life as a “record geek.” …Collectors will be entertained by Hanson’s impressive knowledge of records, including their graphics, cover art, and production details; his well-crafted and often humorous prose deftly conjures up the bygone era of musical theater’s golden age.” –-  BookLife

“A fascinating romp through his life as a collector...Rare is the author who would so eloquently recount his life from the viewpoint of a passion. These “confessions of a vinyl soundtrack junkie,” as Hanson puts it in the book’s title, are an honest story told with intelligence and grace." –- Lawrence Schulman, ARSC Journal

Also, I have a children's book, Can I Keep Them, a story I wrote and illustrated about a boy and his two fathers who find kittens.

Another of my books is titled Peter Pan On Stage and Screen. Reviews of the first edition:

“It would be impossible to write a book detailing every production of Peter Pan, but Hanson has done the next best thing. He concentrates on the major versions of the story, as play or musical, beginning with the first staging...Hanson is meticulous in giving the background of the actors, not only for this production, but for each subsequent one he discusses in his book, bringing a gallery of forgotten performers back to life...although Hanson's book makes fascinating reading from start to finish, its final 110-plus pages will probably hold the most interest for musical fans"—Max Preeo, Show Music Magazine.

“Triumph of whimsy and magic over the more unseemly aspects of the human condition has ensured the legend's lasting success. The Peter Pan Chronicles lets readers momentarily recapture these ineffable themes even as they fly through their hands."--American Theatre.

“This is an entertaining and fully researched account of Peter Pan's long theatrical and cinematic history."—Publishers Weekly

“Thoroughly enjoyed reading it...it is an astounding example of research and...love."--Deanna Durbin (former screen actress, singer); "years of diligent labor framed at last between the two hardcovers of this permanent volume that I'm sure will be the definitive statement on this subject for many years to come. The visual material is all wonderful."--Harvey Schmidt (composer of The Fantasticks, I Do, I Do, etc.); "Thank you for writing the Chronicles. Your book fills in so much even I hadn't known!"--Stewart Stern (screen writer of Rebel Without A Cause, Rachael, Rachael, etc.); "Very interesting and very well researched...is it coming out in London? If not, why not?"--Barry Norman (curator of The Theatre Musuem in London).
