Not so long ago in California, an obscure, young gospel group planted a seed in the gospel music industry. Through- out the growing season of their career they fertilized the young, tender plant of success with dedication, determina- tion and a desire for it to grow into prominence among the leaders of gospel music. The cultivation continued and the plant grew, but as with most, this garden was not immune from the weeds of trials, disappointments and heartaches. To combat these the Hinsons used pesticides of youth, faith and God-given talent. Today, as you listen to this recording you will witness the fruits of their labors. Among them will be original material penned by the Hinsons themselves, outstanding interpreta- tions of these songs by the individual members and musical adaptation that compliments both. I have had the privilege of watching this young seedling grow into a healthy strong plant and take pleasure along with the Hinsons in sharing with you a HARVEST OF HITS.
