Mr. William R. Trego, Conductor • Miss Hannah Desper, Chairman WILLIAM R. TREGO William R. Trego, formerly of El Dorado, Arkansas, and now of Princeton, New Jersey, is the Tennessee All-State Chorus Conductor of 1971. Mr. Trego is Vocal Coordinator (K-12) in the Princeton Regional Schools, directs the 80 voice choir of Princeton High School, and is associate conductor of the Princeton University Glee Club. He is also well known as choral clinician, adjudicator and conductor in the North, Eastern, Southern and Southwestern parts of the United States. The Princeton High School Choir, which has received nationwide recog- nition for musical excellence, was granted a singular honor in 1969 when they were presented in concert at the opening session of the Eastern divisional meetings of MENC in Washington, D.C. Under Mr. Trego's direction, the choir has become one of the country's leading choral groups. Their repertoire includes ''Mass for Mixed Voices” by Vincent Persichetti. They also presented the premiere performance of Frank Lewin's "Mass for the Dead" a Requiem for Robert F Kennedy in Princeton University Chapel. Mr. Trego earned his B.M. and M.M, in choral conducting, church music, and voice from Westminster Choir College, doing additional work at Penn State, Southern State and Westminster. While at Westminster he sang with the famous Touring and Symphonic Choirs. He has appeared as baritone soloist with many choral groups, specializing in oratorio works.
