For years they received top billing in theatres and nite clubs. The INK SPOTS have universal appeal, and their host of loyal admirers of yesteryear are constantly being increased with the youth of today. The unique honey-sweet style of the "INK SPOTS" is well known, the lead is taken by the sweet-voiced tenor through to the end of the song, then there is the talk and patter of the bass in the middle, and the soft humming of group background, something to see and hear. It is safe to say the INK SPOTS will always remain at the top of their profession. THANKS: To Bill "Honky Tonk" Doggett for his assist- ance and his hammond organ and pianistics — Con- ductor and arranger. Although Bill Doggett fronts his own vocal and instrumental recording group, when offered the chance to record with the INK SPOTS, he readily consented for he recalled previous sessions when he first recorded Jim Nabbie, lead tenor, who was brought into the group by Deek Watson (1945) originator and organizer of the "INK SPOTS/' THANKS: To Carmen Dee Orchestra, Philadelphia, Pa.; Carmen Dee, Sax; Joe Matt, Trumpet; Jim Bernard, Trombone; Sal Bene, Bass; Cal Mottola, Drums.
