(Geri Meadows) Little did I realize the change that would take place" in my life, the Sunday morning that I walked into the Grand Ave. Church. Johnny (my husband) and I were there that morning because we felt it might help my brother. He had been having problems, as for myself, I was a good moral person. True 1 had a feeling there was something missing in my life, but didn’t know what it was. The people at the church seemed happy and friendly, especially the three men seated on the platform. Later we learned the men were Henry Howard, Eston Cox and the young pastor, Clifford Hutchinson. The Stamper Duet (Elsie and daughter Junis) sang the song “The Lord Will Make A Way Somehow”. The words were so real to me. Pastor Hutchinson read from St. Matthew 7:24:27. He told how the wise man built his house upon the rock. When the floods came and the winds blew and beat upon the house it stood firm. The foolish man built upon the sand. When the storms came, the house fell and great was its fall. The preacher told us Jesus was the only true foundation in life; That all people should build their life on Him. The message was so real to my heart. When the altar call was given, I took the “First Step”. With that step, something happened, I felt a wonderful peace in my heart. I went to the altar, and when I raised from prayer, I saw Johnny, my brother and sister-in-law also were praying. God has answered many prayers for our family through the years, for Johnny, our daughter, Missy, son, Ron, daughter-in-law Gail, grandchildren, Ronnie and Kristal. We pray these songs will be a blessing. If you don’t know Jesus as a personal Savior, please accept Him now. Thank You, Geri P.S. A special thanks to our family, ministers and friends who have been so much encouragement, also to our family, ministers and friends who have been so much encouragement, also to Delbert Barker, Steve Lake and the musicians at the Central Recording Studio.
