This is part of a big auction full of 1950's blues and R&B 45's that I'm running this week. This time the last 25+ Excello records as well as several from End, Robin, Atco and some great bonus listings as always.

Release: The Drivers - Smooth Slow and Easy / Women

Format: 45 rpm 7" single

Year: 1956

Notes: Original black label first release with original sleeve. The second of just a few singles released by this group out of Cincinnati, who were originally drivers for the same transport company. Classic doo-wop vocals, but more upbeat instrumentation. This right on the line between doo-wop and R&B.  Good stuff from a very obscure group. 

Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with hardly any wear at all, just a couple of tiny scuffs. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels are nice, with no writing/tearing/stickers. There is some light scuffing.  This is a nice copy overall.

Sleeve Condition: VG, sleeve is pretty nice overall. There are some wrinkles and a pencil number in the corner. No splits or tears.
