Why shipping cost a lot!
Let’s say the true shipping cost is $7.95… eBay charges the buyer whatever sale tax percentage you live in… let’s say 8.25 %. That’s .66. Then eBay charges the seller 13.25% on that .66 and the $7.95. That’s a $1.11 I’m losing. Also, the packaging material isn’t free. Can’t believe they charge sellers 12.9% on buyers sales tax!
