Offered here is an original vintage copy of "Afro-American Jazz Dance", by the Johnny Frigo Quartet. Band selections for Jazz Walks, Progressions and Techniques. Orion Records, Evanston, Illinois, 33 1/3" RPM. With original sleeve.
Cover shows slight discoloration on fron, rear of cover like new. Record appears quite nice.
"This rare album of funky jazz was cut for the small Orion label during the early 70's. Orion was tiny label that specialized in jazz dance instruction records put together by the legendary choreographer Gus Giordano. This album is one of the best ones on the label, and has 6 long-ish funky tracks, played by Johnny Frigo and his group, with a tight guitar funk groove. Titles include "Black Sound", "White Sound", "Lennox", and "Apollo"..."
