This is the first pressing of the seminal Pink Floyd album The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. It is the mono release with a laminated front cover. The rear is un-laminated and the top right does not contain the words "File under POPULAR: Pop Groups" which denotes that it is a first pressing from 1967.

The vinyl has the Magic Notes Columbia trademark, a blue Columbia label in the centre and the text is silver. On side two, the first track name and songwriting credits extend across one line only, a repress would be across two lines, so it is an original first press. The sleeve cover is in good condition, it has signs of age and one area in the top right (below the SX 6157) the word Philips has been written in ball point pen. The vinyl does have multiple light scratches, but none of these have impeded playing the record on many occasions without fault.
