MR. FLOOD'S PARTY

Mr. Flood's Party (self-titled)

1969 LP

CTH pressing of this rare and obscure psych/prog rock LP by Mr. Flood's Party, named after a poem by Edwin Arlington Robinson (1869-1935). Although you might think the band would have been from England, they actually hailed from Long Island in New York. The personnel consisted of Tom Castagnaro, Michael Corbett, Jay Hirsch, Rick Mirage, Marcel Thompsen, and Freddy Toscano. Of course, the changing times being what they were, the record, which got little to no promotion (save the promo copies the record company sent out) did not lead to another album by the group. Be aware though that there is a more recent band calling themselves Mr. Flood's Party, but they are not at all the same.

Condition is often problematic for this record and this copy is no exception. It was completely play-tested for the following results: SIDE 1 - First track VG, thereafter VG+ to EX for the rest of the side. SIDE 2 - Varying VG- to VG, with a thin scuff line going completely across the side. Listenable but there are multiple ticks. Cover is VG+. For a better copy, expect to pay double, if you can find one. Since we have described the condition in detail, we are not taking returns on this record.
