I have for sale Elton John's classic double LP set of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road from 1973, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab remastered in I believe 1984 or 1985 anyway I purchased it from the factory in 1999.It had a manufacturing defect on the beginning of side 2 which when I played it was quiet, MFSL at this was selling out inventory for bankruptcy reasons and I bought about 25 titles so sending it back for such a slight defect wasn't needed. What is on me , about 2 years ago was I was placing the record on the turntable side one track 1 was scratched when I accidently dropped the record on the Spindel. Anyway the scratch is there and is noticeable and feelable . It lasts about a minute 20 seconds. So what was easily a $200.00 record has turned into something else. Regardless, the recording is fantastic sounding one of the best of the last generation pre bankruptcy era .It has a plethora of Elton's classic tracks like , Funeral for a friend, Love lies bleeding , Candle in the wind , Bennie and the jets , Good bye yellow brick road Saturday night's .alright for fighting. Lesson learned, always be careful when handling valuable LPs.
