This is a rare and collectible 7" vinyl single by the legendary band, THE BEATLES. The record features the hit songs TWIST AND SHOUT and THERE’S A PLACE and it is a first OLDIES 45 pressing from late 1964, formerly a TOLLIE single from Spring 1964, which was later reissued as OL-152 for the Christmas 1964 sales season. VJ created 6 Red label OLDIES 45 with Beatles song combos.
Capitol Records, upset, had sued VeeJay and gotten a court order to not issue any further VJ Beatles records. So VJ changed the label names from VJ and Tollie to Oldies 45!! They thought that would work! It did for a short while till they were sued and lost again (but still made millions)!!!
The sleeve included is common White! And the vinyl has been graded as Excellent (EX), ensuring high-quality sound. There were lots of these OLDIES 45 reissues that did not sell and hit the market unplayed in later sixties!!
Note: the OLDIES 45 labels with large White letters (see image 1-2) are originals, while any you see with similar large Black lettering (see image 7) are counterfeit!! Avoid them unless you are aware and want one!!!
The record label is OLDIES 45 and the catalog number is OL-152. The release title is TWIST AND SHOUT and THERE’S A PLACE a reissue of TOLLIE 9001 and it is a British Invasion style rock and roll with both sides being former Number One hits in England!!! The vinyl is black in color and is made of high-quality material. This item is perfect for any Beatlemania collector or vinyl record enthusiast. Enjoy!
