"CUSTOMUSIC was the name of a background music library developed by Canteen Corporation and was made at the AMI juke box company in Grand Rapids, MI. Ken Wieringa, the owner of Customusic Service Company, was an employee of Canteen in the 1960’s and worked with the Sound Division for 18 years. In 1979 Canteen sold the Sound Division to Ken and the name Customusic Service Co. was formed with the approval of Canteen and Rowe (AMI).
These records were played in small manufacturing shops, factories, retail stores and restaurants throughout Michigan. The owner of the company would drive to each of approximately 80 different customers to supply the latest records available. Each record has 3 songs on each side. The records were used from approximately 1958 to 1965 when Customusic changed their format and started using large 4 track tapes and special machines to play them. These are very rare as they were usually returned to the Canteen company & then destroyed."
(All records are play graded on a high end machine)
All records are visually and play graded. U.S. buyers to add $6.75 USPS Media Mail shipping w/ tracking. I will combine shipping on multiple wins. Pay Pal and other payment options will be acceptable.
