ART PEPPER quintet DARN THAT DREAM 1982 Stereo Digital Audiophile LP Plays NM-
One of saxophonist star Art Pepper’s very last recording dates, featuring unaccompanied solos of Darn That Dream and Someday My Prince Will Come, is preserved on this audiophile album.
Art Pepper, alto sax, leads a solid quintet with Joe Farrell, tenor sax; George Cables, piano; Tony Dumas, bass; and John Dentz, drums. Farrell is a resourceful veteran and Cables is a playful and fluent improviser.
Side One 1) Section-8 Blues 2) Someday My Prince Will Come 3) Sweet Lorraine. Side Two 1) Mode for Joe 2) Darn That Dream 3) Who Can I Turn To.
RealTime Records created this audiophile pressing of a digital recording, mastered on RealTime Records’ own highly-modified disc cutting system, then manufactured with the very best pure virgin vinyl available.
The stereophonic album is titled “Darn That Dream” and issued as RealTime Records RT-309 in 1982. The yellow label is printed with a white Realtime logo and black text.
The sound is Near Mint-, and the vinyl is Near Mint-.
The album cover is also VG+, showing noticeable edge wear on three side and minor dings on all four corners.
We are selling an extensive collection of carefully-selected jazz and classical music and we will be releasing albums for sale each month.
