Up for sale is a unique collection of soul, jazz, funk, rock, breaks... many of which are of the rare variety...
This collection was built over a period of 8 years... My days of beat diggin' + making old school boom bap hiphop went into a hiatus over the past 5 years pursuing a career & focusing on my family. I've now come to the realization that it's something I'll never have the time to get back into, so I'm letting it go to someone who will get more enjoyment out of it or put it to good use. An endless supply of listening pleasure, samples & breaks...
You'll find labels like atlantic, prestige, muse, cti, blue note, kudu, black jazz, mainstream, motown, polydor, united artists, fantasy, etc inside...
Quantity: Included are 1754 LP's - mostly soul + jazz from the late 60's to early 70's as you'll see from the pics... however, you'll also find some psych rock, soundtracks, & private press stuff too.
Rather than providing a list, I've taken pictures of every record included in the collection & provided a slideshow embedded below.
Quality: I'm not an audiophile & the type of person that would be interested in this collection won't be put off by a little dust, crack or pop on a record, or damaged cover. With that said, most of the vinyl + covers would grade out at a G to VG... It just varies from record to record. Generally if I couldn't listen to the record myself or sample it, then it didn't make it into my collection.
record stores, record shows, flea markets, swap meets, antique stores, anywhere & everywhere that had the potential to have vinyl records...
Shipping: I've never shipped an entire record collection before... So local pickup would be preferred, but I am willing to ship as well. If you are willing to help coordinate a shipping method & pay for all shipping/handling after the auction is over. We can communicate about that via email or the telephone after the auction has completed.
Extra: I have 16 custom made wooden record crates that hold around 60-80 LP's each. They are solid, stackable, & were built to mimic the famous IKEA Expidit. Those are yours as well for local pickup if you would like to have them.
