Rare NW Rockabilly Wiseman Moon 45 " Rock A Billy Hop " B/W " You Are My Lovely One" on HICO #2435 from 1958. This 45 is Crude and Great! Guitarist stings like a Bee. A side is Wiseman Moon and The Hamiltones , B side is George Vereen and The Hamiltones. The Hi-Liters got their start in New York City in the late 1940's as the Deep Tones and later changed their name to the Hi-Liters .  Shortly after that the group relocated to Portland, OR and later to Los Angeles, CA. The Hi-Liters started their own record label HICO and their group consisted of George Vereen, Wiseman Moon, Calvin Williams, Furman Haynes  and Claude Chandler.  Vereen had previously sung with the Four Knights, Moon had led the Victorians , Haynes had been with Brook Benton in the Sandmen and Claude Chandler had been with the Cabineers. All records on HICO are fine R&B vocal group records.  All are now extremely scarce and considered collector's items.  Only four records are known on HICO. This record is M-, labels are perfect. I got this from the basement of Northwest Promoter, Pat Mason.
