We are listing quite a few STILL SEALED albums this week. There are some true obscurities and certain rarities in the mix. Be sure to check them all out.
The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers (Rolling Stones 10 C 068-063616), 1971. Spanish pressing. STILL SEALED
It's hard to imagine why the Spaniards decided that the Andy Warhol zipper/crotch cover for this album was too distasteful for public consumption and thus replaced it with this clever shot of 3 severed fingers sticking out of a can of Fowler's Treacle. Oh, yum. But . . . that's what collectors' items are made of.
Also, the track "Sister Morphine" was considered too, uh, controversial so it was replaced by a live 1971 recording of Chuck Berry's "Let It Rock", making this the only official LP release of that track. It appears on no other Stones album but does appear on a UK maxi-single from that era.
And here is your chance to own a copy STILL SEALED in its factory-applied, loose-fitting cellophane shrinkwrap. Don't pass on this one; when will you see another?
Sorry for the reflection in the shrinkwrap of my camera stand set-up.
Cover and record are in MINT condition, still sealed.
All records are visually graded unless stated otherwise.
Packaged in professional heavy cardboard mailers. Records are removed from covers for shipping; cardboard inserts are provided for extra protection.
