From another auction description:
SBB is one of the most important bands from the Eastern block country of Poland. The band are off the charts stellar musicians who deliver long passages of wild instrumentations in the eclectic progressive genre, mainly space/atmospheric progressive and hardrock moves in their first album.
The band originated from the early seventies, with their initial name being SILESIAN BLUES BAND. SBB feature the amazing skillful guitar-player Antymos APOSTOLIS who delivers fantastic wild solos enhanced by distortion effects. Add an equally amazing, all over the place fuzz bassist and the great drummer extraordinaire Jerzy PIOTROWSKi who freely experimented with fast fills and break-up rhythms. Both side long compositions/jams begin with an acoustic piano-blues (with really great vocals of Józef Skrzek). Then, suddenly the style changes into improvisational dirty hard-rock with some avant-garde leanings at times. Distorted bass-solo's, loud and heavy experimental guitar playing by Apostolis Antymos with yet some more dirty effects and fierce drumming by Jerzy Piotrowsk. During the heavy distorted bass-lines one may be reminded of the Magma's Zeuhl genre, of which the sound is sometimes resemblant. The sound of the performance is exciting, but the lack of melodic structure does make it a haze at times.
Overall this debut/live album shows a very talented band playing with lots of energy, but lack of direction. The very sensitive blues parts combined with the almost heavy-metal-like distorted guitar, bass & wild drumming jams are extremes at both ends of the spectrum. Still, this album can be enjoyable for it has many interesting instrumental passages of a very high standard.
- Apostolis Antymos / electric guitar
- Jerzy Piotrowski / drums
- Józef Skrzek / bass, piano, Moog, vocals

RECORD GRADING POLICY
MINT = like new or near new with only one or two small insignificant defects, a 9 or better on a 1-10 scale
EXCELLENT = Would be Near Mint, except for a couple of light hairlines or scuffs, which do not affect play
VG++ = still a very nice record with all or nearly all of its original gloss but may have a few more light, surface marks, hairlines, needle tracks or the like which should not materially affect play
VG+ = a nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a few pops, but has no serious problems.
VG = a well-used record that still should sound OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.
VG- = a very well-worn record that plays through without skipping, but will do until a better copy comes along.
Good = not actually good at all but probably will play through but with much in the way of surface noise, pops, crackles, etc. Still, will have no cracks, chips or the like
Fair = you are getting this record just to own but not to play
Poor = the sky's the limit, generally I will discard a record this bad (and sell the cover, jacket or sleeve alone) unless the label holds some particular interest
