Eight "hip" 78 RPM singles from the 1940's by black jazz band leader and vocalist Cab Calloway, five are Okeh Label and three are Columbia Label. Visually graded and spot play checked condition ranges from very acceptable vg to mostly vg+, labels are mostly clean, one has sticker on each side. Records are hand cleaned and all are in heavy stock storage sleeves. Some of the titles are Minnie The Moocher, I Want to rock, Let's Go Joe, Willow Weep For Me, Utt Da Zay, Let's Take The Long Way Home, Calloway Boogie & others. Great dance tracks and superior titles to wake up your old jukebox (Who needs Guy Lombardo taking up space on your jukebox?)

Please review photos. This is an "as is" auction and winner pays shipping cost. International buyers please remember, all 78 sets are shipped Priority Air Mail only, includes free insurance. Because of the fragile content, records will be shipped in larger box with additional support. I will not skimp on packaging in order to save a few dollars on shipping cost. Thank you and please visit my companion vintage 78 RPM complete sets I have listed. Combining your wins can save you considerable shipping costs over individual parcel shipments. International buyers remember, I am eligible for Ebay discount for USPS on line prepaid shipping label for PriorityAir Mail parcels, so always withhold payment until you receive my invoice which will reflect a lower cost than the amount stated on auction listing and indicated on eBay automated invoice.

I don't mind rational inquiries and questions that are pertinent to my individual auction listings, but please, before contacting me with any question, read my entire item description and my auction related information. I will contact winning bidder, usually within 24 hours of auction close and provide shipping and payment details. Please, payments must be received within 10 days of my initial invoice providing total cost. I accept Paypal. I do not respond to any nonsensical e-mails, to include requests for shipping cost (shipping cost provided, just click on calculate), and I do not accept offers to close auction and sell at Buy It Now. Thank you.

Currently all my sales are only through ebay auctions. I do not accept want lists or special requests. Thank you for your understanding.

COMBINED SHIPPING - MULTIPLE BIDS POLICY - PLEASE READ

Remember, shipping cost is determined by weight and destination, not number of items. For International parcels, remember once weight exceeds 4 pounds or value exceeds $25.00, it must be shipped Priority Air Mail, includes free insurance and tracking. Thank you.

RECORDS ARE PROFESSIONALLY PACKAGED

I do not skimp on packaging 78 RPM records. I do not use flat LP mailers for 78's. If it is only one record or a combined number, all are shipped in new wide boxes designed to accommodate stiff cardboard flats, reinforced cardboard corners, bubble wrap and packaging materials. At times I can ship 78's with albums, but I prefer not to.

RECORD GRADING FOR 78's
Bargain lot items are visually graded. Individual auction records are play graded. I place emphasis on play grade, maintain the highest professional standards, do spot check play grading on all individual auction items and always provide an accurate visual grade and label appearance. I play grade on a quality component system with Ek-O-Kut turntable and a Grado Prestige 78E Mono Pickup Cartridge, diamond stylus and 2-3 grams tracking force. I always keep my grading simple and fair and will not subject my customers to a proliferation of meaningless grades. If a record plays between two grades I always apply the lesser grade, I do not create a grade in an attempt to articulate a borderline evaluation. I do not use Docks grading definitions, I find them confusing and far too blurred for individual interpretations that may create grading disputes between seller and buyer.

nm....near mint, minimal to no surface noise and showing no major signs of wear. General groove appearance is excellent to like new and record has no imperfections.
vg+...very good plus, showing some signs of minor wear with minimal extraneous surface noise. No major imperfections. Grooves may have minor scuffs or surface scratches, at times a slight grayness, especially appearing in the louder passages. A very playable and acceptable copy.
vg....very good, somewhat worn and mishandled copy with audible extraneous surface noise. Grooves may have visual scuffs and scratches, light abrasions from sleeveless existence. Surface noise is prominent enough to impair or overwhelm music. Still a playable copy.
I do not auction poor condition 78''s with cracks, deep scratches, digs, severe edge chips, closed grooves or severely warped. I rarely list poor condition 78's, but at times will if it is a rare item. Poor 78's will generally have a below 50/50 ratio of surface noise over music and may have cracks, deep scratches, digs, edge chips and flake, flutter or warp factor and are sold as is. I do not artificially gloss any of my records.

BARGAIN LOTS
Because of time constraints, all bargain bulk lots are visually graded. I always try to include quality condition records in my bargain lots ranging from vg to mostly vg+ and near mint. I do not include any beater albums in these lots. All bargain lot auctions are "as is". This means every item is guaranteed as described, but if one of the items in the lot is defective or I may have mistakenly overlooked a serious flaw you will only receive a partial credit for that item based on the total cost, you cannot return the entire lot for a full credit. Also, I do not respond to inquiries requesting additional details on bargain bulk lots. Also, winners of bulk lots must take entire lot, you cannot choose only certain records, it's all or nothing, that's why they are clearance lots.

GUARANTEE
Retail music is my full time occupation. Your satisfaction is important to me. I guarantee everything I sell and will be cooperative and understanding towards any of my valued customers who genuinely feel I may have not maintained my grading standards, have overlooked a flaw or manufacturing defect, or have mistakenly misrepresented an item. Postage with insurance for a returned item is your responsibility , returned item must be received in same condition as originally shipped and dispute console mutual agreement not to purchase must be completed in order for me to receive credit for final value fees I accrued. If you are fair, courteous and reasonable with me I will be the same towards you.
