BILL EVANS TRIO - SUNDAY AT THE VILLAGE VANGUARD
(Riverside - RLP 376)
For sale is an original mono pressing of the legendary Village Vanguard LP by Bill Evans Trio. Labels indicate a first press Mono, deep groove and hand etched matrix. Over all this is a very nice condition LP. Spindle wear suggest that the copy has been looked after and is not overly worn. There are several hairlines / sleeve removal signs that you can not feel and that do not show up in the photos. There is one small audible mark that you can feel and is about 2/3 millimeters in length. There is a specific photo that shows this mark. The LP does not play with constant background noise or hiss. There is occasional light ticks which is probably from pressing / dust etc. But it is very light and does not interfere with the listening much. On one song there are light ticks for a few rotations but I can not see or feel these on the record.
The sleeve is in good condition front and back but the spine is breaking up in parts (as with many of the thick Riverside covers from that time).
I do not have the equipment for making quality clips from the record but if someone wants I can probably record clips straight into the laptop.. which might still give a good idea of the light sounds during playback. Let me know if you want audio clips or more photos, or other info.
If I have missed anything in the pictures or description please ask away.

** Additional information about the cover.
I missed including the information that there is small initials writing in pen in upper left corner. The cover front and back is pretty good for such an old sleeve BUT NOTE that there is some corner bumps and light discoloration. The spine is fraying/splitting all around... a few centimeters on top, a lot on the main spine where writing/album name is, and the bottom spine is starting to come undone (spine paper wearing out) across many sections.
I have always kept the sleeve in a separate plastic sleeve so never been an issue for me.
PLEASE SEE new pictures added of sleeve front and back to show the coloration and the writing in the corner.
Please feel free to ask for more info etc.
Thanks.
