Basic Goldmine Condition Standards:

Near Mint (NM) : A nearly perfect record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. Basically, a record in near mint condition looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. Near Mint is the highest price listed in all Goldmine price guides.

Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) : An excellent condition for a record that will allow minor scuffs which are visible but only slightly and should play excellent! The cover should still be as close to Near Mint as can be. Some impression to the cover and some slight creases to the corners are acceptable.

Very Good Plus (VG+) : A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches. The cover will have some wear such as some slight ring wear and may be marred by a cut-out hole or cut corner.

Very Good (VG) : Many of the defects found in a VG+ record or cover will be more pronounced in a VG record or cover. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, but will not overpower the music. Groove wear and light scratches will start to be noticeable. The cover may have some ring wear or other flaws, but can still be enjoyed.
