Basic Record Grading System:
NM Record and Cover: near mint. no obvious signs of wear.
VG++ Record: minimal wear and no scratches. Cover: minimal wear no seam splits or repaired seam splits.
VG+ Record: may have some signs of wear like slight scuffs or a very light scratch or two that do not affect sound much. Cover: may have up to three minor defects including: small writing, light ring wear, edge wear or seam repaired with glue reported as edge wear, cutout corner or hole, light creases, and light stain.
VG Record: more defects than VG+. surface noise from scratches or other are more pronounced and can be heard at times but, will not overpower the music. Cover: may have more than 3 minor defects or a major defect including discreet use of tape to repair seams.
G Record: will play through without skipping but have significant surface noise and scratches. Cover: several major defects which may include: large marker, major stains, water damage, major tape repair, major cover wear looking like falling snow, or long seam splits.
