Dion Francis DiMucci (born July 18, 1939), better known mononymously as Dion, is an whose work has incorporated elements of , , and styles—and, most recently, straight . He was one of the most popular American rock and roll performers of the pre- era. He had more than a dozen Top 40 hits in the late 1950s and early 60s. He is best remembered for the 1961 singles, "" and "", written with .

Dion's popularity waned in the mid-1960s, perhaps due to the public's changing taste in , and perhaps in part due to personal difficulties he had during this period. But toward the end of the decade, he shifted his style and produced songs with a more mature, contemplative feeling, such as "". He became popular again in the late 1960s and into the mid-1970s, and he has continued making music ever since. Critics who had dismissed his early work, pegging him as merely a , praised his later work, and noted the influence he has had on other musicians.

Dion was inducted into the in 1989.

Dion and the Belmonts
The band in 1966 Background informationOrigin ,

Dion and the Belmonts were a leading of the late 1950s. All members were from the , . The group formed when , lead singer (born July 18, 1939), joined – , bass-baritone (born October 5, 1938), , second tenor (August 22, 1939 – January 1, 2012), and , first tenor (born February 3, 1940), in late 1957.

The name The Belmonts was derived from the fact that two of the four singers lived on Belmont Avenue in the Bronx, and the other two lived near Belmont Avenue.

After an unsuccessful on Mohawk Records in 1957, the group signed with in early 1958. The breakthrough came when their very first Laurie release, "" reached No. 22 on the , and they appeared for the first time on the nationally televised show, hosted by Dick Clark. Dion said of the Belmonts; "I'd give 'em sounds. I'd give 'em parts and stuff. That's what 'I Wonder Why' was about. We kind of invented this percussive rhythmic sound. If you listen to that song, everybody was doing something different. It was totally amazing. When I listen to it today, often times I think, 'Man, those kids are talented'. Dion and the Belmonts were the sound of the city. Their roots were groups like the Flamingos, the Five Satins, and the Dells; acts who developed their sound in urban settings on street corners, mimicking instruments with their voices, even complex jazz arrangements.

Each piece is 1/4 inch thick and together they are very stronge. I always remove the record from the picture sleeve and add clear plastic and record sleeve. I am happy to ship internationally, however I will not change the value of the record. There are many reasons for this. First, I enjoy selling records and do not want to jeopardize that. Second, I include a receipt with the order and if customs were to examine the package, they would see the difference. Third, if something were to happen to the item in shipping, I would refund the customers money, but then not be able to claim what was lost. Thanks you for understanding.

Special services such as Global Priority or Registered mail may be required depending on value of item and shipping destination and will add additional fees. Buyer always pays any custom fees
