This week we are offering some superb rare records from a couple collections we picked up recently. I have tried to grade conservatively even when records are visually near mint. All grading is guaranteed with full money back if not satisfied. Please read my descriptions as your opinion of the assigned grade may be different than mine. The descriptions are extremely accurate as I note any issues while playing the records. Also we do NOT use the Goldmine grading system so if you have any questions, contact us or read the grading guidelines below the listing.
Farmer, Art and Donald Byrd Two Trumpets

Condition: EX
Cover Condition: EX+
Label: Prestige
Reference Number : 7062

Original mono pressing with yellow label, 447 West 50th St NYC address on center label and bottom of back cover, RVG in dead wax and deep groove. Record has several light surface marks and plays cleanly overall but there are a few spots with a couple light ticks and light background noise in some of the quieter passages. No pops or loud clicks. Cover has a light bend at the bottom right corner and both a small name stamp and a signed name on the back cover in pen (and also one of the side's center label). No splits or shelf wear as it has been in a sleeve all of its life. Name also written on one side's center label. Cleaned on a Keith Monks Record Cleaning Machine and stored in an audiophile sleeve.
Tracks include: The Third, Contour, When Your Lover Has Gone, Dig, and 'Round Midnight.
Personnel includes: Art Farmer and Donald Byrd on trumpets, Jackie McLean on alto sax, Barry Harris on piano, Doug Watkins on bass, and Arthur Taylor on drums.

Thanks for looking!
We do not play grade MOST of our records so we guarantee our visual grading with a money back guarantee that includes shipping. All records are visually graded under bright light (200 Watts of truth!). If we do play grade a record, we will let you know about any noise or flaws in detail in our description. You may or may not agree with our grade or grading system but our description will be complete and accurate for you to make your own grade assessment. Generally, we do not list records below EX- condition unless it is exceptionally rare. We do not recommend audiophiles bid on records in less than NM condition. Our grading standard is as follows.
Mint is only used for sealed records or records that we are certain have never been played.
NM or Near Mint is for the most part as good as it gets! No marks and will play clean with no noise unless inherent in the pressing.
EX+ Will generally have minor flaws like sleeve scuffs, but will overall be near mint.
EX or Excellent will have light surface marks and some light background noise in spots and/or a couple light clicks or ticks.
EX- Overall an Excellent copy with light surface marks, but with something that distracts, like a small scratch that makes a few pops or a few light repetitive clicks.
VG+ Consistent background noise or a few pops. No skips or sticking. Still a playable copy.
VG will have problems. Noise will dominate. May have quite a few pops and possibly a quick skip. Groove distortion possible.
VG- Will probably have a skip or two and will be noisy throughout.
G = Our lowest grade and is actually a poor record.
Cover grading -
Mint = perfect!
NM = Damn near perfect, at most a minor corner impact.
EX+ = Overall near mint but with up to 3 minor flaws such as a minor corner impact, small amount of writing like a name or date or less than 1/2 inch split or very slight shelf wear.
EX = May have one split up to 3 inches, light shelf wear, corner impact up to 1/2 inch or light shelf wear.
EX- Splits up to 3 inches or one split up to 5 inches, light to moderate shelf wear or ring wear.
VG+ = Possible full length split on one seam, moderate shelf wear but still holding together plus other flaws.
VG = splits, wear, a filler cover.
VG- or below = rough! All cover flaws will be well described.
