Sought-after double album by the muse of Bossa Nova, Nara Leão. It is odd that Leão during the first 7 years of her recording career actually did not really record Bossa Nova songs, this album is a first! It features many Bossa Nova classics, but Leão manages to place a very distinctive stamp on each song, and make them sound bright, fresh and new. Spare arrangements and distinctive acoustic accompaniment by guitarist Tuca make this one of the best latter-day Bossa records out there. If perhaps you've ever wearied of hearing the same Antonio Carlos Jobim songs over and over, give this album a try... it may make the classics seems fresh again!

Compositions/lyrics by Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, Chico Buarque, Carlos Lyra, Baden Powell and others.

Rare original Brazil Double LP. Cover has seam splits on top and bottom, ring wear (see pictures), some staining on the inside of the gatefold, a signature on the inside = VG+ ; record 1 has surface noice from previous cleaning, evident only in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade = VG ; record 2 is in excellent condition, almost no fizz, one scratch on "Bonita" = E ; for both records together I give a VG+.

Unless otherwise noted, my records are play-graded. I play through all records on a Technics SL-QD33 with a Technics P30 stylus. Grading and comments on sound are purely my opinion and therefore subjective. The same record/LP may sound different on another system or setup. Please contact me with any questions. Ask before bidding/buying!

All of my records are carefully packed in sturdy cardboard mailers. I will add two cardboard supports, and the record will be out of sleeve to prevent seam splits.
