Immortal - At The Heart Of Winter (Silver Record). Limited edition with silver hot foil print on 350g gatefold cover, only 400 silver vinyl made. Immortal's fifth critically acclaimed album, beginning the ascendancy of Abbath in the band, and trading in their incredibly harsh high-speed black metal attack for a more heavy-metal influenced style, with an increased concentration on building songs around really strong, catchy riffs. A lot more 'traditional' than the past albums, but still highlighting their extremely cold, frostbitten, cruelly dark sense of melody and an outright, undeniable aggression.
