Thanks for viewing my sale for a collectible, New Old Stock copy of “Genesis Live,” still mostly in it's original factory shrink wrap. This is an imported French pressing of Genesis' first live album, released in July 1973, from shows that were supporting their fourth studio album ”Foxtrot.” Genesis Live was the band's first album to enter the top 10 in the UK, reaching No. 9. Following its US release in 1974, it peaked at No. 105.

A short story was printed on the back cover of the album, which reportedly was part of the reason for Gabriel's departure from the band two years later. After the release, Gabriel had a side project in mind to shoot a film based on the story, but a label-set deadline forced the band back into the studio to write and record “Selling England by the Pound," and assuming Gabriel shot the film, it was never released.

CONDITION: New Old Stock (NOS) unplayed 33 rpm record in New condition (all photos of actual item). The vinyl record is NEW; the cover is rated Good with shop wear across the edges, a bent corner and several portions of the shrink wrap is torn. This is my last copy and every customer to whom I’ve sold  this album  seems very pleased with it.
