A charming original vintage Norwegian EP compilation from the San Remo Music Festival 1958. Featuring hit-song of the time  "Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu" (also known as "Volare") sung by Domenico Modugno. The song was chosen as the Italian entry to the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958, where it won third place. The rest is history. Four other San Remo entries on this EP with artwork sleeve (see photos).
Record plays fine (VG), with vintage background sound and captures the spirit of the Italian Riviera of the 50's.

Grading records is a tricky business depending on a person’s taste, perception of sound and sound system used but here are some guidelines:

MINT (M)  : Brand new , still sealed. (As the record has never been played there still may be some manufacturing flaws nobody can foresee)

NEAR MINT (NM or M-) : A record hardly ever played or only test played a couple of times. Sounds great with no audible disturbing noise. Cover looks very fresh and clean.

EXCELLENT (EX) : The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear or creasing.

VG+ : a record at the better end of VERY GOOD (VG) below

VERY GOOD (VG) : The record has clearly been played many times, but shows no major deterioration in sound quality, some surface marks and hairlines may cause an even background sound. Normal wear and tear on the cover which is acceptable for the age of the record.

GOOD (or FAIR) (G or F): The record has been played much and the sound quality has been affected, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, may be discoloured or with some stains.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise and may jump. The cover will be badly damaged or partly missing.
