NOTES:  The vinyl has full gloss with just a bit of light scuffing from the inner sleeve.  The labels are crisp and clean with no spindle marks or trails.  The jacket has full gloss with no seam rub, tears or splits.  The back cover has a 4" crease in the upper right hand corner.  The front cover has two very small creases near the spine and faint partial ring wear.  Extremely minor corner wear in the lower right front.  The inner sleeve is the original white and fully intact with no folds or creases.  DEADWAX MATRIX: 6042-1-B-A / 6042-1-B-B.  FIRST PRESS.  THIS HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED.  GOLD STAMP PROMO.

MINT- / (NM) Near Mint  It will play and look like new.  There may be extremely faint paper scuffs or hairline scratches from the inner sleeve.  Labels are crisp and clean. It will look like new.  No promo cuts or holes. There may be extremely minor flaws such as edge rub from storage.   Still looks like new but may have light scratches and scuffs that do not affect play.  Labels may show a few light spindle marks.  Still looks like new but may have some very light creases, seam rub or corner dings. Faint partial ring wear may be starting. NO seam splits.  (EX) Excellent (VG+) Very Good Plus Handling is becoming more evident with visible scuffs and scratches that may occasionally affect sound quality.  The labels show heavier spindle trails or other light marks.     Very faint ring wear and light discoloration.  Creases and corner wear are slightly heavier There may be one seam split of less than one inch. (VG) Very Good Lacks most of its original gloss. Groove wear is evident and scratches are deep enough to feel. Surface noise is very likely.  Label may have writing tape or stickers. COVERS THAT HAVE CORNER CUTS, HOLES OR NOTCHES WILL NOT BE GRADED ABOVE EXCELLENT.

 

Grading is a subjective thing.  As Goldmine states, there is a high end and low end within all grade levels.  I have provided many photographs so that you can examine the item very carefully.  You will receive exactly what is photographed.

 

PROMOTIONAL COPIES:  Promotional copies usually came from FIRST PRESSINGS.  First pressings matter to audiophiles.  Cover drills (holes), corner cuts and cover notches were a common way for the record labels to mark and identify non-returnable promo copies. These covers may not look the best but it may be the best vinyl you can find.  If it's the listening experience you're looking for you may want to give one a try.
