THE BEATLES - 'GET BACK'
Recorded on 28 & 29 January 1969 'Get Back' was released as a single in the UK on April 11th 1969 and was their first to enter the charts at #1.
It was also their 1st single to be appear in true stereo in the U.S. and the last in mono in the U.K.
This 100% genuine 1-sided 45rpm acetate dates from date of release and contains the 3.10 STEREO mix.
The 'blank' side is not entirely blank as it contains an aborted cutting, playing 5 seconds of the song's introduction.
The playing side bears a green & white 'Apple Corps Ltd Custom Recording' label with the '3 Savile Row, London W1' address.
'GET BACK', 'THE BEATLES' and 'STEREO' is typewritten in black ink.
CONDITION
Label: VERY GOOD +
As you can see, the label is bright & fully intact. The letter 'A' and 'Deb' are written in black ballpoint. '3-5 FADE' is written in faded black felt-tip indicating that this was possibly used as a radio station promo copy.
Visual: GOOD
The disc is flat and undamaged with no missing, cracked or crazed lacquer. However, the playing surface has dulled and has lost its shine. There are a couple of small scratches on the playing surface but these do not affect play. There is also slight wear to the centre hole on the blank side. The disc lies flat on the turntable and is not bent or warped.
Audio: FAIR/GOOD
This disc has clearly been played a number of times and the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated. However the track plays through with the only significant issue being some background noise which is audible throughout the track. Despite the audio shortcomings, this is an extremely rare disc of which few survive in any condition.
