VINYL GRADES USING GOLDMINE & RECORD GUILD
NM/M- A nearly perfect record. Vinyl will play perfectly. Shows no obvious signs of wear. LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes, or other noticeable similar defects.
EXCELLENT PLUS EX+  The record is near-mint, there is no damage or visible surface marking. Under Bright Light you may see fine lines on the record, caused by rubbing on the paper sleeve.
Excellent  The record shows some signs of having been played but there is lessening of sound quality.
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)/ EXCELLENT Minus (E-) May show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK, too, such as telltale marks around the center hole, but repeated playing has not misshapen the hole. There may be some very light ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable.
VG Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these.
