Album
: Black Merda
Artist: Black Merda
Label: Chess Records / LPS1551
Year: 1970 original pressing.
Country: USA
Condition: VG- to VG, mostly VG (vinyl); VG+ (jacket).
Notes: 1970 original pressing. Promo copy. Vinyl has surface noise, some parts worse than others. Doesn't overpower the music, depending on your tolerance level for surface noise. Visually there are lots of light scuffs, though none are deep enough you can feel with a passing fingernail. Clean labels. The sleeve has an old price sticker on the back. Some minor wear on edges. No split seams. No writing.

GRADING PHILOSOPHY
I consider "NM" (near mint) to be a record that is in like-new condition, with maybe one or two very insignificant defects. I follow the Goldmine standards for grading, even though I consider record grading a wildly subjective pursuit. It's not often I grade records that are 30+ years old "NM". Why? I don't think many records survive unscathed in perfect condition over the span of two, three, four decades. These are truly rare records, especially if the artist was well loved and the record was played over and over (like most well-loved artists are). A lot of the records I list will be VG to EX, unless the record is in truly stellar, unplayed condition.

Thanks for looking and good luck!
