This is an original 1971 - Link Wray - Self Titled LP - Polydor 24-4064 Stereo with the Die-Cut Cover. There are almost no visible spindle marks on the label - still very clean. The album has only a few light scuffs from the sleeve. All of the original gloss is still intact. Using the Goldmine grading system I would grade it EX+ to NM-. The album jacket exhibits a little wear from age and handling with corner bumps and a clip to the lower left corner. I would grade it EX to EX+. I'm including a brief description of Grades to help clarify them for the novice collector. NEAR MINT: A nearly
perfect record. Basically, an LP in Near Mint condition looks as if you
just got it home from a new record store and removed it from the shrink
wrap. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this. VERY GOOD PLUS: "record will show signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect ones listening experience. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. An LP jacket may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole". VERY GOOD: Surface noise will be evident upon playing but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them". GOOD/GOOD PLUS: "A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. A jacket or sleeve will have seem splits. Tape writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object". S/H is Priority w/tracking & insurance & includes a new album mailer.
