Title A I've Tried Title B Lord, I Want To Thank You Artist The Wonderful Harmonizers Label Praise 102

Nice record, appears to be from the mid to late 60s. Lead singer was James Bryant, Jr. Both sides are published by Crazy Cajun Music so this is probably an early production of Huey P. Meaux and probably recorded in the Gulf Coast area. It's certainly well done for an unknown regional label.

Condition Sleeve n/a Playing Surface A E - Playing Surface B E - Label A E Label B E Comments

This is an unplayed store-stock copy, just needs a light cleaning.

My highest grading is "E".

My records are graded conservatively, 45s are graded visually, under bright light. They may be played for sampling, but not necessarily all the way through.

All listings have a sound sample, recorded in mono, included. It is intended to give you an idea what the record sounds like on a turntable of reasonable quality and includes a few seconds of the lead-in so you can hear the background noise..

Grades and code information

I grade the playing surfaces, the labels and the sleeve if an original, company-issued sleeve is included. I do not use the term "mint", that is for coin collectors, nor do I use +++ or other confusing mid-grades, I only use the following:

E

Excellent; the highest grade I give. A record that apparently has never been played (except by me, on good quality equipment) and has no obvious storage damage. Just like new.

E -

As above but with some slight signs of use, no significant scratches. A much better-than-average used record.

VG +

To me, VG really means Very Good, a record with signs of normal, light use or some storage scuffs but no deep scratches. It plays clear, strong and relatively noise free. Labels may have minor wear or marks.

VG

A Very Good record but showing some signs of heavier use, may have some very light scratches. Plays well with some background noise. Labels may have minor damage or writing that can't be removed.

VG -

Still Very Good but with signs of wear, a few audible scratches, more significant background noise, a very usable record that will play with satisfaction on good equipment, it should not skip. Labels may have a tear, or have a sticker or have been damaged by a sticker that has been removed.

F +

Fair, which means acceptible but not great. It has more significant wear, some scratches that affect play, noisy but playable.

F

In this case, F mean filler; getting kind of rough. Still plays reasonably well. It would have to be a really rare record for me to list it in this shape.

Specific defects will always be noted in the description. Unfortunately many of the small, independent record companies made poor-quality pressings so even mint condition copies can have bad sound. The grading I give reflects the physical condition of the the playing surface, not the quality of the pressing. I will note the sound quality in the comments.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed, if you are not happy with any record you receive from me, email me, we'll work it out.
