Ludwig van Beethoven: The Nine Symphonies

Herbert von Karajan conducting the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

German DGG stereo-pressing with big tulip „Made in Germany“- labels.

This is a rare box set including all 8 LPs as single pressings with big tulip „Made in Germany“-labels.

This is the 2nd edition of this kind of release, there was also a box set released in 1963 containing all single LPs with the red stereo imprint on front.

This box includes all 8 LPs with article-nos. SLPM 138 801-138 808 as 2nd pressings from the mid 60s,

Five LPs have dates from '66 imprinted on back, two have dates from '65, one has not date imprinted. All sleeves have Grand prix-stickers.

The box is without sticker and slightly bigger than the ones from the regular edition, indicating that this was specifically produced to assemble

the separate LPs in a complete box set. The regular edition's booklet is also contained.

Condition Box: EX to NM. Massive extra large box with laminated front. Minimal storage wear.

Condition Sleeves: EX to NM. All have small rings and some light rubbing, but they have apparently been housed in the box for decades.

Condition Vinyl: NM. Majority has presumably never been played. Almost perfect set!

Condition Booklet: EX to NM. Minimal handling-wear.

General Information:

- Shipping-rates may differ for different destinations, please check details below for more information or shortly adress me.

- I offer combined shipping for multiple purchases and I'll always send an invoice with correct rates shortly after auction-end.

- Unless you notify me in time, payment is expected within 5 days after receiving of invoice. If I don't at least hear from you in between, I'll send a non-payment notification through Ebay
   afterwards.

- I use sturdy cardboard-boxes and cardboard-dividers, both specifically designed for the safe shipping of vinyl records.

- Most LPs receive new antistatic innersleeves (in addition to the original ones, which of course are also provided). I, however, don't add new sleeves, if the original ones seem fitting.

- If in doubt about anything, please contact me, I'm glad to assist you with any possible queries!

A note about my record-grading:

I usually only visually grade the LPs under strong light and I only playgrade them ( i.e. the portions that seem to have signs of usage), if I can't be sure of their actual condition.
If records show stronger signs of soiling I'll professionally clean them (Okki Nokki RCM), but I'm not doing this if it's obviously only dust, as I know that collectors usually prefer their
very own way of record-cleaning.

My goal is to always decribe the records appropriately and I will name every visible and/or audible defect in my detailed description. If regardless of my precautions
you should ever be dissatisfied with the condition of a record, please contact me before leaving negative or neutral feedback to give me the chance to resolve your query.
I'm confident, however, that this will hardly ever be the case. I've been selling records for many years now and so far complaints fortunately have been the utter exception!
