Damarge- Les Box Set LATHE CUT double 12” lathe LP’s/four 10” lathe discs/one 8” lathe disc/1 CD-Rom CDr/two booklets/2 magnets/2 badges/information sheet and poster] (Equation Records)
LIMITED TO 23 COPIES ONLY…LIKE…EVER!!

Obscure, really undocumented on record except for this absurdly limited (23 copies, that's it), Damarge were a UK Electro Pop/Cold Wave/Synth-Pop/Dark Wave/Post-Punk/Minimal Wave/Electro-Pop…really they're all of that, and their earlier and subsequent incarnations (represented here) dip into early 80's UK punk, early Industrial and later even some rap. It's difficult to put them in a clear catagory but they were definitely an underground band that expressed that 1981-1984 era. And this is an insanely rare boxed set.

They were also the starting point for Snowboy (aka Mark Cotgrove) who is represented here with the band and in his earliest solo adventures. Snowboy ended up something of a legend, having worked with Mick Hucknall, Anna Ross, M.F.O.S., The Perceptions, Mr. P.C., , Roy Hargrove's Crisol, Coldcut, Basia, Noel McCoy, The James Taylor Quartet, Pressure Zone, Lisa Stansfield, Mother Earth, Unitone Rockers, Shakatak, United Future Organization, 8Up, Incognito, Casa Forte, Tenth & Parker Featuring Mark Murphy, Dr Bob Jones & The Interns, The Super-Phonics, Jackson Sloan, The Sound Stylistics, The Filthy Six, Speedometer, The Delta Rhythm Section, Big Boy Bloater And The Limits, Imelda May, The Haggis Horn, Darrel Higham and tons more as well as having a substantial solo career.

Strap in, this one is massive!!

I have stored this pretty much as I received it when it came out except that I have stored it in a mylar outer sleeve to protect the box.
All lathe records are MINT- to VG+ (they are unplayed but lathe discs always have some surface noise due to the cutting process and I always grade new lathes as M- to VG+)/CDr-ROM is VG (some marks from the hard card stock sleeve, it came this was)/Inserts are MINT to MINT-/Plain manila envelope holding paper inserts and CD-ROM is VG (with some light tearing on the tab)/Cover is MINT to MINT-.

All records were LATHE CUT BY HAND by PETER KING at King Worldwide in New Zealand.

Unfortunately, due to problems with packages arriving reliably, I can no longer ship to Brazil. So sorry.

A quick note about shipping. My apologies for the current cost of shipping, several years ago eBay determined that shipping costs collected by sellers are a part of the price of a given item, I'm sure this was done with an eye towards having sellers include free shipping in the price of the item. For each purchase you make on eBay, 10% is deducted by eBay in fees and 2.9% is collected by PayPal before I receive payment, these percentages are deducted from the final selling price as well as what you pay for shipping. This means that, for a CD, you pay 3.25 domestically, eBay and Paypal collect 0.39 and I receive 2.86, typically I pay out 2.77 for postage and 0.50 for a mailer for a net loss of 41 cents for every CD I sell. The US Postal Service pricing has skyrocketed, CD's used to ship for about $2.12 to the U.S. and LP's shipped for about $11.00 overseas. Now an LP to the UK, Europe or Asia requires about $20-$21 in postage, so after fees it costs more to ship items than collected. While my overall rating currently is "Top Rated", you may see some slightly lower marks on my Detailed Seller Ratings under "Shipping and handling charges", but I want to express that my pricing is entirely not-for-profit and done with an eye towards charging what a package costs to ship when it goes out the door.

I want to add that I limit my communications with you to answering any questions you have promptly and clearly, I also send an email to let you know I've received your payment and where I'm sending it to (based on the address on your Paypal payment), I don't want to over saturate your email with step by step information about your purchase because I ship really quickly and am usually shipping your package at the time I send you the receipt of payment confirmation. But again, if you need anything, or have any questions or concerns (before or after a purchase), I am more than happy to give you my full attention.
