I bought this Captain Beefheart polo-neck, long-sleeved T-shirt about fifteen years ago as NOS ('new old stock') / 'deadstock' - i.e. it had been in storage somewhere, unsold since it was made in the early 70s. I've tried it on a few times since but never been happy enough with the fit to wear it, so it remains in 'nearly new' condition. The photos should give you a good idea of what the fabric and print look like close up.
In terms of size/fit, it's labelled 'M 38-40' and is on the slim-fitting side of a modern 'medium'. It's tight-fitting in the arms, and the sleeves are distinctly short - not actually 3/4 length like a baseball shirt, but not far off (see the photo of the Captain wearing it).
