VARIOUS ARTISTS-THE BLUES BOX 1966 VERVE FOLKWAYS RECORDS 3 LP BOX SET W/ INSERT IN A SOLID VG(box cover)-EXC. VG+ CONDITION. MOSTLY CLEAN VINYL!! 6 sides of some of the best old time blues you may ever hear in one sitting in this auction. Artists such as Lightning Hopkins, Brownie McGhee, Sonny Terry & Jimmy Witherspoon all appear on this must own box set. All fans of the genre need this one in their collection, it's a keeper!!
The records are all in an easy VG+ condition with a very small, very light scuff on 3 of the sides none of which hamper play at all, all play well throughout. The box container has moderate wear on the spine (very readable but has scuffing on the bottom edge), minor rubs on the corners, a tear of the corners on the mouth opening and a wee bit of aging. The insert is unsullied and one of the original inner sleeves has a split and it holds it's respective record fine. A terrific buy!!
